There is nothing like feeling that buzz that sizzles between newlyweds, it’s infectious. They’re still learning about one another, still finding one another irresistibly attractive, they are idealistic and excited for the future. My favourite moment as a photographer is capturing the looks on their faces as they spot each other for the first time from the other end of the aisle. Its magic.

I’ve loved weddings ever since I was a little girl, clomping around in my mother’s best high heels and raiding her jewellery box for my desired look. I would prance around in my nighty pretending it was a glorious gown just like Barbie from the My First Barbie collection circa 1984, yelling, “marry me darling” to one of my less than impressed younger twin brothers.
